Let's Make a Shiitake Mushroom log today! You won't need to head to the grocery story to find shiitake mushrooms anymore, they'll be right outside your door. We supply everything you need to inoculate your own log to take home. After completing this Let's Make class, you will have the hands-on skills necessary to expand your shiitake log collection to any size you desire.

Shiitake are an edible mushroom native to East Asia that grow on hardwoods. Just like other garden vegetables, your own log grown shiitake are much tastier and more nutritious than the ones you find in the supermarket.  It would be helpful if you can bring these items to class:

  • Hammer
  • Cordless drill
  • 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) drill bit

Instructor: Aaron Corbin

*If ordering a log, please register and pay for the log online or mail a check. Write in the Comment field the date and time you will pick it up. Logs not picked up by May 15th will be donated.
