Volunteer to help The Resiliency Institute plant a fruit tree guild at the City of Naperville Municipal Center to grow community food security and celebrate Arbor Day!
We’re looking for volunteers to help plant a fruit tree, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, and groundcovers. Please bring your own gardening gloves, hand trowel, and shovel.
The Resiliency Institute is donating a permaculture fruit tree guild to the City of Naperville to grow community food security. Planting edible gardens on public land establishes a local food shed and ensures fresh, nutritious food is free and available to anyone.
We’re excited to be partnering with the City of Naperville on this project to demonstrate how our community can grow food security by planting fruit tree guilds in our landscapes, at community parks, schools, churches, and businesses.
