This month let’s celebrate the final arrival of Spring OUTDOORS.  We will use nature as our guide and focus, as you cultivate a SHARED experience between mother (female caregiver) and daughter to nurture bonding & connection while deepening your relationship. We will explore what spring looks like on the farm and in the edible wild garden, make nature mandalas/art, and make a collective tea. Because we will be outside the entire time, we will have a shortened time and snacks will not be served.

The WILD Mother*-Daughter circles follow a similar monthly theme as the WILD Woman Project Circles but are shortened and adapted to include our daughters.

Circles are not associated with a singular path or religion, but rather, an inclusive coming together with women from all paths. We all come from different spiritual/cultural backgrounds and gather around the ideas of Sisterhood (having each others backs, empowering one another), a respect for the earth (wildness, turning to nature as a teacher) & co-creation (the understanding that just as we co-create our experience in circle, so do we co-create life on earth).

Recommended daughter ages are 8 years old and up. Open to 6 mother/daughter pairs.

Please bring the following items if you have them available: Journal and writing utensil, yoga mat, a pillow or cushion to sit comfortably on the floor for meditation. You may also bring an item for the altar.

Circles will meet in accord with the new moon, as this is traditionally a time for going inward and self-reflection.  Each new moon circle is inspired by a unique theme.

Allison Mitch is your WILD Woman Project Circles Facilitator. She is an ecologist, physical therapist and healing arts practitioner (yoga, reiki), part time professor, and mom – an eclectic professional and personal mix that birthed her own WILD woman through the recognition of the connection and depth with all of life. In her circles, she seeks to create a sacred and inviting space for self-reflection, meditation, healing, and reconnection with nature for the return of soulfulness, or “re-wilding”.  Allison is also committed to increasing the connection of her children and her community with nature by offering family nature excursions (Naperville Family Nature Club) in Naperville and the surrounding suburbs.
