Classes

The Resiliency Institute offers courses, classes and events that empower people to live, grow, and build resilient lifestyles, landscapes and communities. Take courses like Permaculture Forest Gardener, Bioregional Herbalism, and Edible Wild Plants. Join us for Nature Rx with Shinrin-yoku/Forest Therapy, and Forest Yoga. Women can connect monthly during WILD Woman Project Circles. Find us throughout the Chicagoland area speaking and exhibiting about fruit tree guilds, permaculture, growing food security, renewable energy, and resiliency. Enjoy opportunities to connect at our plant sales, Permablitzs, potlucks, fundraisers and more.

WILD Woman Project Circles – Spring (5/3)
May 3 @ 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Join us to discover your inner WILDness, or wholeness of being, through a gathering of women where the focus is on taking time to support yourself and being supported by other women. The WILD Woman Project is a world-wide movement of CIRCLES gatherings during the new moon. Each uniquely themed Circle is a time for meditation, intention setting, healing, creativity and connection with community.

We all come from different spiritual/cultural backgrounds and gather around the ideas of: Sisterhood (having each others backs, empowering one another), a respect for the earth (wildness, turning to nature as a teacher and healer) & co-creation (the understanding that just as we co-create our experience in circle, so do we co-create life on earth).

You can’t pour from an empty kettle — join us to rejuvenate!

Please bring the following items if you have them available:  Journal and writing utensil, yoga mat, a pillow or cushion to sit comfortably on the floor for meditation, and inside shoes or slippers. You may also bring an item for the altar.

Sundays 2:00-4:30 pm

Tuition*:

May 3 $30

June 21 $30

FULL SPRING SESSION: $55

We are offering a sliding scale registration for students, or those experiencing financial hardship – $20
If you are feeling generous and have the income, please consider making a donation (right sidebar) earmarked for supporting WILD Woman.

Online registration and pre-payment required. No Walk-ins. Registration closes 1 day before the event.

Allison Mitch is your WILD Woman Project Circles Facilitator. She is an ecologist, physical therapist and healing arts practitioner (yoga, reiki), part time professor, and mom – an eclectic professional and personal mix that birthed her own WILD woman through the recognition of the connection and depth with all of life. In her circles, she seeks to create a sacred and inviting space for self-reflection, meditation, healing, and reconnection with nature for the return of soulfulness, or “re-wilding”.  Allison is also committed to increasing the connection of her children and her community with nature by offering family nature excursions (Naperville Family Nature Club) in Naperville and the surrounding suburbs. www.wildwomaninthesuburbs.com
