2020 LEVEL 1 BIOREGIONAL HERBALISM COURSE
The Resiliency Institute Bioregional Herbalism Course meets 9:00 am -4:00 pm one Sunday a month March – November, and has a graduation ceremony Saturday, December 5, 2020.
Bioregional Herbalism is a pathway to natural wellness. Build your personal resilience by discovering how to engage with bioregional plants as allies and develop personal intuition and connection for yourself and the natural world. Learn the basics of body systems, herbal terminology, and common herbal preparations with a focus on nourishment, wellness, prevention and support.
There are so many reasons to learn how to heal with nature:
- Interest in foraging for increased personal and economic resilience
- Connecting with nature
- Expanding your knowledge of healing plants for landscaping, permaculture, or ecological restoration
- Wilderness survival
- To expand or prepare for botanical studies
- Sharing with and building healthy, resilient community
“Nature itself is the best physician.” ~ Hippocrates
During each Sunday class, discover several plants in depth, learn introductory health care topics and body systems, and make 1-2 herbal preparations. The day is divided among lecture and discussion, hands-on practice with harvesting and making remedies, walks to meet plants in their homes, and time to cultivate and reconnect with nature’s wisdom.
Our Bioregional Herbalism Course will empower you with nourishing herbal knowledge, the skills to experience the world in a new way, and the beginning of a personal herbal apothecary!
Receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the series. Only 1 class may be missed to receive a certificate.
Class size is limited to 15 students
