Sowing Seeds Celebration & Potluck

Sun, January 31, 2016 11:00 AM - 01:00 PM

Join us to celebrate The Resiliency Institute’s 3rd Anniversary with a seed swap and lunch potluck! We like to think that we have been “sowing seeds” of permaculture these past three years - some seeds have germinated, some are sprouts, and others still dormant awaiting the right conditions. Come and sow seeds with us by bringing a friend and some plant seeds to exchange. Together we will grow resilient permaculture communities - one seed at a time.

Seeds are our food, clothing, shelter, breath. They form the foundation of all cultures. It is critical that we continue to diversify our seed supplies by growing, collecting, and sharing seeds locally. Seeds are also ideas and knowledge. Share the seed of permaculture with a friend.

Feel free to bring seed catalogs from your favorite sellers, bring your books on seeds, art using seeds, seed stories and poems. Everyone will have an opportunity to share what they brought or share what they hope to bring home. Seed Savers exchange has generously donated seeds to help start the swap!

Let’s enjoy lunch together, because what’s a celebration without food! Bring a main dish, side dish, or dessert to share (enough for 6-8 people). We will provide dishes, silverware, and cups.
