Forest Yoga Walks – FALL SESSION (September)

Please click links to complete our electronic COVID and  TRI participant release forms and email the TRI form  or bring with you on the event date.

This series is timed to follow the Seasonal Bloom Cycles of Illinois Native Prairie Plants in select locations that are highly protected or untouched original ecosystems in the Chicagoland area.

Based on the practice of Forest Bathing we will intentionally slow down to receive the healing benefits of nature. Gentle yoga will take place in areas highly populated with wildflowers.

The class will be suitable for all levels with a focus on appreciating the gifts from nature and our energy exchange with the natural world.

The session begins with a brief overview of the area and concludes with a tea ceremony made from medicinal plants harvested along the walk.

Waterfall Glen’s prairies, savannas and oak-maple woodlands contain 740 native plants species, 75 percent of all the plants known to grow naturally in DuPage County. As a result of this rich variety, more than 300 species of mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles and another 300 of invertebrates use the forest preserve either year-round or during their migrations.

Please come prepared with MASK, protective clothing for being comfortable outdoors, water, and a yoga mat.

EVENT WILL HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE.  Safety will be determined on site at the beginning of the walk should thunderstorms be present.
